SENIOR MANAGER MEMBER RELATIONS IVD

 

Overview


 

As a member of the Member Relations & Services Department, the Senior Manager IVD shares
responsibility for the strategic development of the association and contributes to the initiation and
implementation of a broad range of activities.

As such, the Senior Manager IVD is a highly self-motivated and independent individual with a proactive
approach and strong initiative. The ideal candidate will possess project management and business
development skills, capable of efficiently initiating and overseeing multiple projects concurrently, and
ensuring they are brought to successful and timely conclusion. He/she should demonstrate the ability to
work autonomously, effectively navigating tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision.

This position’s primarily focus is to be a credible advocate for the IVD industry, and liaison officer with all
IVD members of MedTech Europe. This role plays a critical part in representing the opinions of IVD
companies and associations towards external stakeholders, and is central to orchestrating a seamless
cooperation in various domains such as Market Access; Government Affairs and Public Policy; Compliance;
Regulatory; Sustainability; Digital Health etc.

Additionally, the position entails spearheading the development, implementation, and promotion of IVD
membership initiatives. Proactively engaging with and attracting prospective members, and retention of
existing members, is a primary responsibility of this role.

He/she reports to the Director -General Member Relations and Services.

 

 

Responsibilities


 

The responsibilities of the Senior Manager Member Relations, In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) include, but are not limited to:

• Foster strong communication and collaboration channels between MedTech Europe’s Secretariat,
its IVD members and relevant working groups and committees, ensuring resilient engagement by
the IVD companies in the life of the trade association.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for IVD members, safeguarding their satisfaction levels and
overseeing the delivery of exemplary services provided by MedTech Europe.

• Address and coordinate the MedTech Europe response to any issues or conflicts that may arise
from individual IVD members.

• Ensuring the wider Secretariat stays familiar with IVD members’ evolving needs.

• Leading membership prospects, recruitment and retention efforts and overseeing all facets of
membership administration.

• Interfacing, on behalf of the IVD industry, with external stakeholders relevant to IVDs and laboratory
medicine, e.g., stakeholder groups representing diagnostic testing laboratories.Requirements & skills

• Proactivity and problem-solving skills

• At least 7-10 years of relevant work experience. This should ideally include experience working
within the in vitro diagnostic medical devices industry and/or in the laboratory medicine sector

• Project management skills

• Teamwork and adaptability

• Commitment to excellence

• A passion for business development

• Good understanding of trade association dynamics

• Preferably knowledge of the IVD industry and healthcare

• Proficiency in English at a fluent level (oral and written) as well as in one or more EU languages
(oral and written)

• Proficient computer skills, including specifically with Microsoft Office suite.

• Eligible to work in Belgium
